Enhanced Aftercare Program

The program provided the means for this homeless program to extend communications and counseling opportunities to its residents for at least two years after graduation. The results continue to be monitored so that improvement to the aftercare program can be implemented. This pilot implementation project has reinforced the importance of good recordkeeping for all residents that participate in the aftercare program so the program’s success can be monitored. It also indicated that incentives may be necessary to encourage former residents to participate in such an aftercare program.
