Job Training Program
Description
Our homeless program benchmarking and best practices analysis indicates that job training may be necessary to secure long term employment. In 2002, Ward Family Foundation worked with a homeless program in the Washington, D.C. area to expand its job training program.
The homeless program had long operated successful job training programs for its residents. It was eager to provide its residents the opportunity to find employment with area rehabilitation and construction companies. A pilot training program was launched to assist with GED training and for rehabilitation job training.
