Description
Our homeless program benchmarking and best practices analysis indicates it is important to measure success beyond the actual program period. The homeless programs studied were unable to measure the success rate of its graduates for any meaningful period of time due to lack of available resources.
In 2002, Ward Family Foundation initiated a project with two homeless programs (one in the Washington, D.C. area and one in the Cincinnati, Ohio area) to collect information about graduates during the prior five years. An Internet-based database was established to maintain information (on an anonymous basis) about families and individuals that successfully completed homeless programs.
